1. Overview

Treevo is a family tree app designed to help you document, explore, and preserve your family history. This Privacy Policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, and what rights you have. Your personal family data — names, dates, relationships, and photos — is stored exclusively on your device and never transmitted to us. We do collect anonymous usage analytics to improve the app, as described below.

2. Data Stored on Your Device

All family information you enter into Treevo is stored exclusively in your device's local storage. This includes:

• Family member names, dates of birth, and dates of death
• Family relationships and tree structure
• Photos added to member profiles
• Notes and other personal details

This data never leaves your device, is not accessible to us or any third party, and is permanently deleted when you uninstall the app.

If you have iCloud Backup enabled on your device, Apple may back up your app data as part of your standard device backup. This is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

3. Analytics Data (PostHog)

Treevo uses PostHog, a third-party product analytics service, to collect anonymous usage data. This helps us understand how the app is used so we can fix bugs and improve the experience.

What PostHog collects:

• App screens visited and features used
• Tap and interaction events (e.g. buttons pressed)
• Device type, iOS version, and app version
• Session duration and general usage patterns
• Anonymous device identifier
